It's time! Time for me to get paid for my experience and skills. I have finally come to a point in my career where I can see raising my prices as beneficial to me and not detrimental to any of my clients.
It has taken an extremely long time to realize I have to take care of myself first and foremost. I can't continue to "be nice" and let people, clients, tell me what they want to pay. I am not making a living by catering to others' inferred incomes. It is not up to me to decide what someone can afford. It is up to me to decide what I can afford to paid. I should not be making minimum wage after working for 15 years. I deserve a raise.
I am keeping it small, so it is easier for my clients to adjust. I just need to take care of myself. So I am making the leap to raise my prices and be firm. I am worth just as much as anybody else. This could set me up for a little more financial security.
