I am at a point in my career and life, that I feel that I have presented all of the information that I possibly can. I don't want to write about something I have already written about. I know that part of this is due to being a bit busy with other things and not as much with hair history and the like.
I have been blessed to have a thriving business and great clientele. It is really amazing that I get to do what I do for a living. I am happy that I am a hairdresser, but more than that, I am a counselor, a guide, a friend. How cool is that? I think it is great.
I am hoping to get back to my academic studies in the next term. It is finally looking like that will be happening. After a little hiccup with the financial aid, I think I am back on track. I keep pushing towards my goal of a doctorate in anthropology, focusing on hair and its connection to society. I might even pursue the thread of "when did we start cutting hair?" It is a question that I have, not sure how to make that an area of research, but I am certainly interested in it.
I am looking forward to travelling again. Maybe I can set up a shop in România in the future and then do hair there as well as here. I know my service is good, and with paying for things with cash, there's a good chance I wouldn't have to be official. I will see what comes with that. It would be amazing to work there. To say that I have international clients.
That is about all I have for this one. I hope to be back to the usual programming of interesting things about hair for the next one. I will keep my eyes and ears open for anything that is fascinating.
