Then and now

What to focus on...

Having been providing some online content for the social medias for the last couple months, I am making some decisions about the kind of content I want to create.

I started focusing more on my social media(video) presence as a method for drumming up business, but it has shifted a tiny bit. I have found that my vintage hair videos do better than anything else. However, those aren't necessarily going to bring me clients into the shop. It seems that if I want to be seen, then I need to show more vintage hair. If I want to draw potential clients, then I need to share the color and cut work that I do. I am at a bit of a crossroads.

I think that I don't want to fall prey to the whims of the internet, but I know that in order to say that I have pursued every avenue of advertising, I have to try to make a solid go of this social media thing. I am a bit lost with what my "brand" is. Should I continue to create vintage hair content and only sprinkle in some color stuff every now and then? Or shift and try to get my color and cut work to gain traction? Or combine a little of both?

Perhaps the best idea is simply to film that which I enjoy doing and know that it will find the right people. I am happy to be able to share my work and my interests. I am sure that it will come out all right in the end.
