We are sliding in to the last month of the year. As I gear up for the new year, what am I going to be doing with my time? I don't want to throw up my hands and just give up for a month, so I need a plan.
I have finished a decent amount of training with Matrix and this next month is going to be focused on reviewing information and making sure I really know what I am teaching. This is a good time to practice my class skills and building my repertoire. It will be a perfect opportunity to study up.
I am taking a new focused approach to my IG feed. I have a 30 day plan that will give me a way to present information to my audience in a consistent manner. I am choosing to look at this as a part of my job, as I have previously only seen it as a thing to do in your spare time. I am really working to change how I see the role of social media in my business.
I am gearing up for college. Starting in January, I will be attending LCC to begin my journey to a degree in anthropology, so I can have a more targeted approach to studying hairdressing history. This will mean that next year, my entire schedule will change. I am looking to streamline my daily schedule, so as to accommodate this new addition to my commitments.
With my book, I will take this next month to continue to dig in to research, that may or may not be included in the final draft. I would guess that there may be more than one book. The first edition will definitely be an American/European centric part of hairdressing history. I would like, in the future, to see the history of hair in other cultures, countries and continents. Therefore, I will need to begin to make some connections with more international hair stylists.
It appears that I am going to be quite busy the end of this year and I am happy for it.
